The Challenge

Guilford Pharmaceuticals had recently received financing to help them develop its lead candidate, GPI 1485, through Phase 2b. The size of the company and the scope of this new project, however, would mean that all of the internal resources would be focused on GPI 1485, leaving the rest of the pipeline without full attention.

The Solution

Through a relationship with Symphony Neuro Development Company, RRD was selected as a development partner for Guilford. RRD provided regulatory affairs expertise and a core planning and clinical operations team to manage GPI 1485 and advance it through proof-of-concept.

The Result

RRD’s project management team was able to seamlessly integrate with the Guilford team, serving myriad functions from corporate governance to managing and negotiating vendor relationships. The partnership enabled Guilford to redeploy existing resources to focus on pipeline expansion, while RRD was able to efficiently advance GPI 1485.
